Presale Guide & FAQ
Everything you need to know about buying tickets before the general public.
What is a presale code or offer password?
A presale code (also known as an offer password or unlock code) allows fans to access ticket inventory before the general public onsale begins. These codes are distributed through fan clubs, venue newsletters, credit card partnerships (like Citi, Chase, and American Express), and promoter programs like Live Nation.
Where do I enter my presale code on Ticketmaster?
When the presale begins on Ticketmaster or Live Nation, navigate to the event page and look for the "Unlock" or "Offer Passcode" padlock icon on the ticket selection screen. Enter your presale password there to reveal protected seats.
What should I do if a presale code doesn't work?
First, check that the specific presale window is active (some codes are only valid for Artist fan clubs or specific cardholders). Ensure there are no leading/trailing spaces when pasting. If the code is exhausted or invalid, search Presale.Codes for Chicago for alternative passwords like Venue, Radio, or Live Nation app codes (e.g.
SOUNDCHECK or RIFF).
Do presales guarantee tickets?
Presales allocate a portion of the venue's total seating capacity. High-demand events can sell out their presale allotment quickly. Having your payment details verified and joining the waiting room 10–15 minutes prior to start time gives you the highest chance of securing tickets.
